This is a very broad question but can anyone suggest some unique bowstyles. I prefer bows that are a little more outgoing ( Plains short bow, hmong crossbow). Any suggestions/ideas are welcome.

Go back and look through the Bow of the Month contests. There will be a lot of different bow styles represented there.

There are some good museum databases that have hundreds of different designs. American Museum of Natural History and the Musee McCord are two of my favorites.

Master the holmguaard bow and you are making one of the best straight bow designs out there. If you want to go 'modern' then r/d recurves are fun.

have you seen the flight bow subforum?
...how about Korean? What I find really strange is that some of their deeply reflexed bows had wood bellies..

not mollegabet?
what's the difference between holmegaard and just a flatbow? or are holmegaard sort of like mollegabet but without levers as pronounced?
