Anybody got a real clever adjustment system for the straps on a bracer? I'm real tempted to use Velcro but I did post this in "Primitive Skills". Belt and buckles seem a bit tough to make.
Also, a while back someone posted a picture of a combo bracer and glove that only had two or three fingers. If he/she is still on here can you please post it again? I tried to find it but struck out.
I know, I know, I'm a wuss. deal with it ;D ;D

Don't know if this is what your referring to.Could be wrong but this is what I've posted before.Rawhide and brain tan lace up method.

Had been posted in this thread as Beef hide and quivers.Other things out of rawhide too.

Beadman I think that's it, thanks. How do you tie the lace? One hand and your teeth? Did you join the two just so you could cut away at the glove? Maybe make it cooler?
Bubby I use elastic cord now and find it a bit of a pain to adjust. Summer is not too bad but in the winter I have to mess with it depending on what shirt/ coat combo I'm wearing.

The brain tan lace has a crow bead on it to slide up quick and tighten it around your wrist.Just quickly wrapped around the lacing to secure the ends.It stays. The rawhide is slotted to keep it cooler. The index and thumb brain tan two finger glove pattern is from a tight fitting cotton cloth pattern. It's attached to the front edge of arm guard to be one piece.Every thing is hand sewn of course. The whole business is at least 6 to 7 years old.Use it always since I shoot off my knuckle.

@BeadMan that looks cool 😂 (I'm always intrigued by old leather somehow..)

About the arm guard it's beef hide and about 6" long.I used a quick stitch tool that double stitches.Artificial sinew used. Was'nt that hard to do.You can custom fit yours for yourself too in an afternoon.
