Title: 66" Osage recurve

I recently completed my second osage selfbow.  It is a 66" recurve and pulls 48# @ my 29" draw.  It is a really smooth drawing bow and has no hand shock. I shaped a piece of deer antler for the arrrow rest and used leather for the handle wrap with artificial senew.  I want to thank Matt Wirwicki for providing me with a quality bow blank.  This is actually my first bow as the one I posted previously eventually blew.  I have over 500 arrows through this one so hopefully I'm good to go.  Any thoughts on the tiller would be welcomed and thanks for looking. Will I would suggest getting the middle 12" of each limb bending equal to the first 10". If your bow was an R/D with mid limb reflex, it would be perfect. But, it is basically a straight limbed bow. Osage will take what your giving it now and probably not break, but it will take more set and change shape the more you shoot it. You are very close otherwise.

 Slow down to where you look at it each morning or next time your going to work it. Your eyes and mind will be fresh. You see things each time you work on tillering it you do'nt see when you quit for the day.

  Selfbowers worst nightmare is the feel you have to hurry. Go slow once the woods gone it's gone.

  This will put your tillering dead on everytime. CROOKETARROW did this way for 50 years. I've did it for over 20 now. Works everytime.

Congratulations Bill!  For your 2nd Osage bow, I think we'd all agree you've done a mighty fine job on that.  Yep, what Drums said is good advise.  He does a lot of recurves.

While I would agree with PD's advice on the tiller, either way that is one fine looking bow.  Nice work.

I wish my second selfbow would have turned out that nice.  Love the short recurves and the antler rest.  Fine work.
