I'm very excited to say.. I finally found Sinew (Cow sinew) to buy!!
Most of you may not know but I live in Brazil and here it's such a difficulty to find bow building materials,
Glues , sinew, even bamboo (believe it or not) , Brazil is such a big country and unfortunately the economy is screwed, making it impossible for me to buy things online from other countries (I wish!)
But.. After endless research I finally found a butcher shop in my area who was kind enough to offer me his cow sinew for 1 R$ each kilo ( roughly 25c USD)
That made me incredibly happy,
Thanks to all those who have been supporting me
@mullet
@le0n
I really appreciate your help, and if there's anything I can do to exchange your favours , please let me know and I'll be more than happy to do so.
Have a good day!
PS: I'll be getting my first kilo of sinew on Wednesday!

Save the scraps and other soft tissues attached(not fat) and boil it down into hide glue. You can add rawhide scraps to the mix as well if you have any around.

Thanks for the tip!
@mullet was kind enough to promptly offer himself to ship me a few things from the US, I hope to get some TiteBond Hide Glue, that'd be perfect, and , it would save me from my mom yelling at me for using the stove and making a mess probably 😂
Appreciate it @Pat B

Remember to encourage the butcher to cut the sinew as long as he can. They have a tendency to cut it short. Maybe you could get him to give you the whole leg. Well, without the steaks and roasts attached ;D ;D ;D That way you could spend the time getting every last in of tendon. You can return what's left over so he can send it to the processor. As an example I went to a butcher and he saved me a bucket full off tendons. All were 6" or less. Later I found a game processor that saved me some elk legs. He actually cut them above the joint for me. The tendons were 16-18" long. Of course an elk is taller then a cow but you get my drift.

Of course @DC , thanks for your reply.
Just in case he gives me short tendons.. They can still be used right?
I hope so!

I think down to about 4" is useable. I've never had to deal with short stuff.
-
Alright great, I was wondering if Neck tendons are also useable or only leg?
-
Take the short tendons also. You can boil them down to make sinew glue.

Sure will @Mullet 😊
