It's been awhile since I chipped a half decent point. I'm happy with this one, though. This piece of Kentucky Blue gave me fits with the steady hinging but I finally beat them out.
I think it will go on a piece of antler.

That's a beauty Eddie. You could come knap up here no sweat problem here a few snowflakes in the air here today.
-
Thanks, low 90's here and only going to get hotter.
-
Nice.

Great job Eddie, nice thickness!

Well that piece didn't leave you with the "blues." Great work!
-
Sweet mocs! Did you make those?
Very nice point too
-
The moccasins are made by Poppens. I ordered them 2 years ago when they were at the Classic. The brain tanned pants were made by Rebecca Parker, I was Sweating them in.

That's the beauty of brain tanned leather, Eddie. While they don't breathe all that well in heat and cause you to swelter, they make up for it by not being all that warm in the winter, too. >:D
That Kentucky blue is some tough stuff! I always admire a completed piece made from it. I have a few pieces picked out of the Twin Oaks knapping pit, they make amazing stones to carry in a flint and steel kit! Have never shook loose hotter and longer burning sparks from my steels! Man, those sparks spit and sizzle like bacon in a red hot pan!

Good work Eddie...

They are real comfortable. I'm looking forward to hunting in them.

Dang Boy, that's a nice one! Yeah, it's been hot out here too. Got to 80 a couple of times, but nice in the am. Upper 30's to mid 40's. Been in the upper 60's and low 70's lately. Almost able to sweat. Come on out, and chip here for a while. I have about given up on knapping. Still can't drive a flake worth a crap. I can make a point, that is practical, but not pretty. I would like to progress a mile or two further than I am at this point. I think I will just stick with arrows. I am OK with them. That will make a nice knife. You might also, put it on lance. That would make for a nice mantle piece. Especially if the shaft was covered in rawhide, and beaded, with an array of eagle feathers on a strip of brain tanned leather, connected to the shaft, fore and aft. Then you could put your points in a display box under it. Well now you have something to do with out sweating. Well not as much anyway. At least out here it is drier. Like I said before, you and Cathy, need to come out here, for a couple of weeks.

Yesterday evening was the first time this year that the sweat started rolling down my face, sitting still. And, so it begins. It's officially bathing suit/sandal weather until further notice. ;D
