Pretty good use for a squirrel skin. Awesome knife too. What's the handle made of?
-
Thanks BJ
I like to mix it in with some cottontail. :)
Ruddy,
I should send you my copy of "How to poach the Queen's animals"
Err written by an Irishman. >:D
Gutshot, It is why I did that knife.
First attempt with Redbud. I was amazed that
the blade survived as long and thin as it is.
It's not pretty but I am sure it is tough as nails.
I need to do a handle with less sap wood.

Zuma I would disagree. I think the sap wood really sets it off. I cut a red bud just a few weeks ago. Can't wait to make a bow with it. And now a knife handle too. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agre with Gutshot, the sapwood looks great on the handle.
(kind of you to offer dear chap, but best not send me a copy of that book Zuma, I could possibly loose my lands and title, and there would be no more tea and small talk with Her Majesty. :'( )

:D, just been looking it up, I think you can buy them for ornamentals and bonsai, maybe wouldn't do too well in the North of the U.K. ( ?) I see on the forum it can make a good bow.
