Very excited to announce the arrival of our son Desmond Shaun Gauthier.
Born May 2nd at home, 9.2#, natural birth, I've never been more proud of my wife.
He was born in the caul, if you don't know what that is, look it up, its very cool.
He was also born during a rare thunder storm, which made the night even more special.
He'll need some time to grow into his bow I think ;)
Dez ans mom are doing well, cheers guys

I made this knife to cut the umbilical cord and it cut like butter, i hope to give him this knife one day.

Congratulations Wizard man you and wife way more than one upped me. That is so cool and really made what's probably gonna be the most rememberable day of your life even more rememberable. I thought it was cool just being in delivery room. Now the hard part starts and never really ends but they are worth it. Tell your son the story of his delivery some day more than some day my son loves to here his yet. I tell him how he was crying and the nurse said talk to him daddy he knows your voice, I said hi Nick it's daddy and he calmed right down
-
PS you and wife will enjoy sleep when you can get it and quit when you can get it a lot more now.
-
Very cool, nothing like being a dad, congrats, glad it all went well. :)

Congratulations, and kudos for going the natural birth route! I didn't cut any umbilical cords, but we did save the placenta from #3 and plant it under an apple tree.
-
Good for you, your wife and extended family. Time goes by faster than ya think soon he will be pulling a bow, and building. ;)
-
Thank you everyone. We are still working out the kinks, but we sure love the little guy.
We saved the placenta. I plan on burying it in the soil of 3 Osage saplings I have growing.
I wish I would of kept the caul, now that I've read more on the mythology and folklore of it
-
Oh man, Ryan! Congrats and all the best to you and your family. I'm sure little wizard will enjoy the stuff you made for him.

-
Congratulations! Little did I know that with all the diaper changes, 3 a.m. wake ups, teething, and so on...that eventually I would realize that becoming a Dad would be the single best thing that ever happened in my life. My daughter is 23 now and I'm so happy to be her Dad. Enjoy your time with your little one. :)
-
Congrats man, I'm three months in and Henry just had his first ear infection. Babies are a trip- didn't know I could feel the way I do about him.
-
Hah cheers guys. Josh, I had to look up the term "put a stem on the apple".
To be honest I was hoping for a girl, but now that he's here we couldn't imagine another baby.
-
When I had my first,43 years ago, I got congratulated for "putting a handle on it". I was hoping for a boy, won 12 dozen beer!
-
Congrats. I raised 3 sons. Now I have 5 granddaughters. Plus 1 grandson. :o
I haven't made a pink bow yet.
Gotta love him and keep him close to your heart.

I was hoping for a boy first, until my girls showed up. I wouldn't have it any other way now. I was relieved when he came out with landing gear though. I was bound and determined to have a son and fully intended to keep going til we got one. However, I don't think my wife was completely on board with that plan. Lol! The important thing is momma and baby are doing good. Once again, congratulations! Josh
-
Congratulations on the new one, the workmanship and! To the wife for putting up with you!
