a while back Half Eye sent me a stack of bow wood. (Thanks again Half Eye!!). So this is the first one completed. It's HHB 55# @ 28", 58.5" TT. Bow is stained antique red with 3 coats of onyx added to the limbs. String nocks are antler painted gold with antique red as the veins. Same as the artwork of the vines and leaves on the back of the bow. The arrow rest is carved of Cedar. 4 coats of polyurethane to finish it off. Hope ya'll enjoy the pics.

that artwork is crazy, very cool.

Love the detail work Dave that's some Purdy bow. You left your inners pretty stiff on this one. I would say the top inner third and the bottom inner two thirds need to bend a lot more. Great first bow man.....my first bows have long since blown away. I KNOW you will be getting after another one s!
Hell...ya probably already have another one going! >:D

Sorry guys I didn't mean to imply it's my first bow. Not at all. It's the first one out of the stack of wood half eye sent me. Sorry for the confusion 😔. Yes the limbs are a little stiff...I was going to attempt carving on them so I left them like that. When it came time to whittle on the limbs I chickened out 😂😂😂.

A real beauty for sure.

halfeye is a rascal and if you're not careful he'll enable your addiction ??? Nice job on that bow, Sorry but you're hooked.

Like the leaf pattern 8)

Nice work there David! I like that artwork.
Yup that half eye character is a generous fella. I've got a pile of staves from him also. Fred, that reminds me of that song..."the pusher", from steppenwolf. Sorry rich, you just got a new nickname.
Sorry to get off subject David.
Sweet bow!!
