My cousin's kid is about to turn 4. He has been asking for several months for a "big boy bow" to shoot like his daddy. Well over the last week I made one from a hickory sledge hammer handle. I made the arrows out of Popular dowels died with rit dye and blue spray paint. The rubber blunts are sections of old speargun rubbers dacron B-50, 10 strand string ought to be enough.
The bow is 36 inches tip to tip. It draws 10 lbs at 12 inches. I will wait for his dad to send me a full draw shot.
This little bow really zips these little arrows. I have been shooting them around the house all day!

Nice big boy bow. I wish I had one like that when I was a kid. Nothing would have been safe 😊 I made a HHB 39" n-n and some mini arrows for my 3 yr old grandson. It is a blast to shoot its adult supervision only. I think his dad will have as much fun with it as he does.
