Title: Hunting set
Post by: Knapper on April 12, 2016, 11:15:00 am
Just finished up a set of points and got them hafted to hunt with this upcoming season. Shafts are river cane with turkey feathers harvested here in Oklahoma.

Awesome :) Look out critters.

Thanks all, Falcon the fore shafts are cedar. I was trying to make a set from local cedar but the spline ended up to light so I cut them up for the shafts.
All hafted with sinew and pine pitch.

Nice! I just made a set of 5 too. Did you start with 6 and have a mishap like me? Busted one in the straightening process. Can't wait to see some game taken with those!

How do you keep from breaking them when you practice?
