Ive been busy the last few weeks trying to wrap up some bows so I can fish my butt off this spring/summer! Here a few pics of various bows I have cookin' . The osage bows are both 63". One is a typical flat bow 46 @ 26, and one an RD that is 49 @ 28. The RD has a crack from handle to tip. The TD is self explanatory. :D

Few more

Wow! Very nice. I love fishing too. My wife and I have a bait fish company so my entire summer is consumed by fishing. Poor me!
-
Ya did it ... Congrats on the td!!
-
What is your riser made of on the TD?
-
A-a-ron, it is goncola alvas with a purple heart center forming an I-beam. It'll light right up when I start smooving it off and sanding it.
-
I can tell it's gonna be a looker all shined up
-
wow!!
-
That takedown looks good pearly. Can't wait to see it all polished up!
-
Sweet stuff indeed.
-
Good looking bows Chris. Nice work as usual.
-
Pearlie bows thats for sure, and you already know what i think of the trey pc, awesome work can't wait to see them all dolled up
-
I'm looking forward to seeing that 3-piece finished up myself. What kind a wood is the riser? Josh
-
Wow! Those are sweet, really diggin the TD.
Cheers
Thunder 8)
-
Thanks everybody.
I posted the TD on another site a while back when it was still a block of wood. I asked if it was a self bow. The responses were "lively" to say the least. The knowledge and passed on knowledge from site to site is crazy different. Thank God for PA, the only true primitive site on the web where dudes simply "get it".
-
Nice bows, PD. You have some talent! Jawge
-
Nice stuff Chris I like how Purple Heart sandwich in middle 90 degrees from limbs that's gonna look sweet. Good luck fishing big lake here pretty cold yet.
-
Great to see those! hank you for posting the photos.

DBar
-
Those are some very nice bows indeed. Everybody should take time to go fishing.
-
Very nice bows Chris
-
Excellent work Chris, sharp and crisp lines like you always seem to get on your bows. They both look to be just perfect braced and sitting there waiting for the finishing touches. You gotta come back and give us pics. after the clear coats go on and really make them sizzle.
-
Looking good Chris. You better get a move on my buddy is slamming the gills right now;)
-
Those are beauties, I really want to carve a grip like the first one. Your an artist Pearl.
-
Thanks a bunch guys. I will post them complete as I get them done. I just thought I would toss up a few recent projects.
-
Can't wait to see these finished up Chris! Does that crack go clean through?
-
Very nice Pearlie! I really like the TD. In what angle did you attached the limbs?
-
Lookin' good Pearly ! I like the Goncola Alves - Smith&Wessen used it for grips for years and I have a Spirit Long Bow with GA riser and veneers on the limbs. Pretty stuff. Got the fishing fever this year Myself ! Bob
-
Very nice Pearlie! I really like the TD. In what angle did you attached the limbs?
No clue man. I just eyeball stuff until it looks right. In hind sight, I wish I would have added just a bit more. Next one will be better.
-
That take down is super interesting. How long is the handle...'bout 10 inches total?
-
The riser is 13" long, each limb has 28" from the end of the fade to the tip. So it is longer than it looks. 69".
-
Very nice set of bows there Chris.Been wondering how that take down was coming along for ya.Osage orange limbs I imagine.I may have missed that earlier too.I've got a couple of friends here that make FG take downs that could get you all mixed up with their version and reasons for different angles on the riser.Reasons for speed or comfort of draw.I get lost listening to them sometimes.Applying the old creed for starting out long enough and wide enough seems to take care of things most times. You've got that for sure.
Lately I've leaned to making osage bows of sub-66" long a bit wider than 1.5".Out to almost 1.75" really. In the working limbs anyway. All for set reasons.Sweet looking pair of braced osage bows though.
-
Those bows are Amazing. I am really impressed with both bows but the TD is really nice. Thanks for sharing these two bows. Will B.
-
Cant wait to come out and take a look at that TD. Sweeeeeet!
-
Finally wrapped up the 3 pc. I will take pics and start another post in the coming weeks. 51# at just a bit over 28", my draw.
-
Turned out great Pearly
-
Bout time! Came out sharp man, real nice!
-
You do great work PD!
-
Those skins fit that build perfectly! Don't see many broadbanded skins around here and you and Clint come up with 2 perfect sets. Very nice my friend!
-
Winner winner chicken dinner!!😃 looks great

Sharp looking bow Chris. Looking forward to seeing it in person.
-
Sweet accomplishment Chris.Bows look great. Those are really nice draw poundages too in my book.
-
Can't wait to see it and dry fire it
-
Looks awesome.
-
Can't wait to see it and dry fire it
Hahaha ;D
-
He is just jealous that I can break bows with the greatest of ease....
-
No it's just been a few years since I've seen you dry fire a bow at marshall, figured it's time and this would be the perfect test for your latest creation
-
I'm calling dibs on that riser after the dry fire. It would make some good looking knife handles.
-
The I-beam riser will never die, limbs maybe. I can always make more limbs. Sooooo, forget about it Clinton Ha-Ha Anders.
-
wow really cool!!
-
It looks like you have been busy. I hope to see the one with the crack at Marshall. I have one I started with something similiar
-
Paul can break the riser too, trust me! Id like a small piece of it as well if you dont mind Clint
-
Beauties! PD, that take down is definitely a TD (Brady to Gronk)! :) Jawge
-
Great to see you getting after it! Looks like you might get some fishing in this summer, but you better get cracking on that bamboo rod... ;)
-
Paul can break the riser too, trust me! Id like a small piece of it as well if you dont mind Clint
Sure thing Cody. We will cut it in half at the shelf and split it.
-
You two ya-hoos might want to keep ahold of those chunks if it happens. When I'm dead and gone they could equal your retirements in value. I'm pretty popular you know.

Now that there's only one Chris he must have inherited a bunch of cheerleaders. I'm glad you're coming to Marshall Scott I can always use an extra hand and making fun of Chris
-
While you fellows might be right on him high rating his own work I will say that I know what his work sold for at Marshall among a crowd of supposed great bowyer and if any of ya want t o go up against him I will gladly except your donation to the auction , then we can see who is high rating what! >:D
-
i might be able to find something for that table. It won't compete with Chris, but it might earn ya a few bucks.
-
That 3 pc looks like a real sweetheart!
Has it had any arrows through it yet? If so hows the speed & accuracy.
-
No doubt about it Guy! Chris is a very good friend and he's always the first one to donate or hand something out to someone. And if you're lucky Guy he'll put that 3 piece on the auction table of Marshall.
-
Heck! If I'm lucky, he'll send it to me.

Those 3 pieces of wood sure are pertty. Can't wait to see them all put together. That snake is sweet at 1st glance I thought it was some kind of camo wrap. See ya in a couple days. Man I've been running getting ready, pretty sure everything on my list isn't going to get done.
