Here is last nights fail :'(. A wise man told me once "it's only a rock, throw it down and pick up another one." Thanks Tower it really helps with the stress >:D.
Also is the last successful blade I had posted with handle added. Handle is deer antler, Paducah, Hickory and Bois de Arc.

I've found that my broken knives make excellent arrowhead preforms. I'm still in that stage where the rock isn't just a rock, it's knapping material.
What kind of chert is that?

Nuts! Cool knife!

You don't have to tell us about your failures ???
But it does make us feel just a tiny bit better >:D
I'll have the front half of that duck.
Nice work knapper

Yep from where I sit , I can easily see 2 nice arrow heads laying in front of the knife. Cool knife N stand also. 1 arrow head is almost finished.

That is nice like the way you made the handle.

Nice display. All you have to do with the other is thin the base.

If you ain't breakin' you ain't makin'

"it's only a rock, throw it down and pick up another one."
Spoken like a man from Texas... Here in Illinois it's "it's only a rock, throw it down and buy another one." haha
That's a fine lookin knife! ...and two preforms for points ::)

I HAVE A LOT OF THOSE ALMOSTS. THATS SUCKS AFTER A COUPLE HOURS.
-
couple of hours? That would have taken me a few days probably, since I have never made anything larger than a good sized arrowhead for hunting. I made a small corner tang neck knife but nothing like that caliber of blade that I see a lot of guys making on this forum. One day I may try to knock one out but till then I really enjoy making hunting points and trying to use them.

Just keep makeing gravel you'll get there in your own time.

Yes Sir,
That's some mighty fine chipping!!
