Title: Turkey hunting arrows
Post by: Swampman on April 08, 2016, 07:30:19 am
Here are some turkey hunting arrows I just finished up.  The 3 longs ones are red osier.  They are longer because they had a stiffer spine.  The 2 shorter arrows are an unknown shoot I cut from a roadside last winter.  They were growing from a trunk that had been cut.  I plan to go back when leaves come out to figure out what they are as they made some nice arrows.  The arrows have field points on now but I will be putting some 145 grain 2 blade broad heads on soon.  All arrows shoot great out of the pictured bow.  Thanks for looking.

Nice. What did you stain them with?

Jeff, I used dark brown rit dye to stain these arrows.  I then covered the, with 2 coats of had rubbed poly.

Tracker, these arrows hit right where I look at to 20 yards.  Fly very straight. N

Thanks.
