Title: hunting in VA.?
Post by: nokswimmer on February 23, 2008, 01:35:03 am
i am fairly new to hunting,  i have been making bows for a few months now 4-5, but i decided i wanted to try hunting.   does anyone know any good hunting places in Virginia?  if so.   what? and when?   what is in season now?   turkey?

thanks!

turkey doesnt usually come in till spring, i would think just about anywhere. My dad hunted Cannan Valley i think it was and he killed a bunch of deer. lots of bear too and i think he has killed a few turkeys. he said there was a dense pop. of deer.

surely you can find a spot in the George Washington or Jefferson National forest there are thousands of acres to hunt on.

Nokswimmer, I know nothing about Virginia, bet was actually born there, Norfolk...good luck with the hunting... just remember to always hunt in an honorable way .. and you will always be successful, no matter if you get a harvest or not.. Mike A/ho
