Ha! I didn't think they'd really do it. A much easier way is to join the Army as a 13F, get stationed at Fort Hood, when on the hill at night use the thermals to find hog, call in the distance and direction, request an open sheath, and watch. Not saying I or anyone I know did or did not do this, just that the results would be similar and you don't have to build a cannon. We had guys call a bad grid before and a mortar round landed in the middle of a herd of cows. 10,000 dollar fine per cow to the unit and disciplinary action to all involved.

Seems mighty disrespectful to the animal. I'm not one to make a game out of game. Actually? I get downright nasty when I hear about it or see it. Nothing cool or admirable about shooting a fricking cannon ball(s) at a wild animal.

Just my opinion, to each their own. Just don't tell me about it.

And they wonder why respect for the hunting community is at an all-time low and is falling faster than the mercury in a North Dakota thermometer in a blizzard!

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm pretty sure this article is 100% satire, the deer picture at the end looks photoshoped.

The bottom of the page says "No animals were actually harmed or injured in any way". Pure satire and Photoshop, I'll bet.
That said, even satirizing something this sensitive can be harmful. Not everyone reads all the words.
