Here is my first build. Not the prettiest bow but she shoots good. 65 NTN and comes in at 47@ 27.
-
A few more
-
That's a very nice first bow. Mine didn't look near that good.
-
Very nice, wish my first one would have been that nice!
-
Very cool. Nice first
-
that first bow is always magic, isn't it? It doesn't matter how it looks, but it looks great to me.
-
Congrats on #1! Looks good. What are your tip overlays from?
-
That is a great looking bow! :)
-
Way to go AB! I hope it is not your last. I am working on my 3rd and it's been years since my 2nd. attempting and pulling off tip overlays on your first bow. Wow!
-
Congratulations, looks like you had fun and are going to make another one! 8)

Tips are deer antler. No doubt I will be making more. Every time I shoot it it sure makes me smile. I understand why folks like building them. Great amount of satisfaction to be had. I can't wait to hunt with one of my own builds.
-
Very fine job for your first bow indeed. Look forward to seeing the next several.
-
Hey, I recognize that bow. Good looking tiller. That's really what matters above all.
-
Nice!
-
Sweet bend, great job on ur first
-
Thanks guys. I couldn't help it I just had to break out chronograph today. Results pleased me. Not a fire burner but plenty to take an ole deer. 47 pounds at my draw and 526 grain woody.
-
Excellent tiller. Nicely done. Jawge
-
Very nice, well done, would not have known it was your first.

Well done Billy! You will be more proud of that first deer no matter what it is, than likely any you've taken before. You've got skills, now make some kids bows!
That's about as nice of a "first" bow that I've seen posted.
-
Fine job
-
Pretty darn good in fact excellent for a first bow.Better than mine but I still got it hanging around. Now you can ponder on a next build. That's always fun too.
-
That's one heck of a first! Great job.

Thanks guys for the praise but I had a bunch of help. If y'all hadn't noticed I been making all kinds of posts on here looking for advice. I got a lot of help from this site.
-
That came out nice, I would call it success & go and shoot the heck of that bow.
-
Not the prettiest? Well, she sure ain't ugly!
-
I did a little more work on my grip tonight. Im really loving this bow, I still can not believe I made it.
-
Very nice first. Nice bend and I think it looks nice too.
-
Great looking bow !!
-
how do you guys get that extra stuff on the ends for nocks?
-
Im not sure how most do it but I just cut a deer antler in half, filed it flat and superglued it on. I shaped it and flied nocks in it after that.
-
Nice looking bend... 8) I remember your hunting post also...So now you have your own hand made bow and expect to see you post it again this fall with a beautiful deer...Way to go Arrowbuster...
