ince there is a bow mentioned with birch bark , how do you prepare it for use?
I have some and want to use it.
-
that depends on what you are using it for. could you share a bit more about your project?

I want to back a flat bow.

if it is decorative, then peeling thin strips off a paper birch might be easier than shaving bark without paper,....... soak in water and glue?
google

If you are wanting it to add strength, then a different method would be in order

Peel it apart in layers dog.I've covered a couple of bows with it.I think it's better that snakeskin myself.Put it on with TT3.I tried smooth on too but did'nt like the mess.Hide glue will work great too. It'll suck it on tight.I never had to use water and glue for getting it apart.
