Title: Bay laurel?
Post by: sapling bowyer on January 31, 2016, 10:53:02 am
Hello again, There are some GREAT bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) trees around and I'm wondering if it is a good bow wood. I've heard of California bay laurel but what about Laurus nobilis? If it is decent bow wood can I go with a crowned back and a narrow design or should I stick with a wide design? Does it take too much set? Also is it hard to cure or can I cure it fast without having problems with checking?

It seems to me that this has been asked a few times before. Maybe do a search and see what pops up
