Thanks The bow is from a maple board found at Lowe's the backing is bamboo from Plant World Nursery. I left the bamboo to thick and it caused the bow to have a belly ache. Very fine compression lines across the limbs in the same place on both limbs. I soaked a couple of piece's of rawhide 2 1/2 inches long and glued them to the belly with titebond 111 which has become my favorite glue good stuff. The bow is 68 inches,50 pounds at 28 inches It shoots a 600 grain ash arrow with authority. So far it has held up well. I put to much work into it to give up.

that's a fine bow anyway, but doesn't that experience make you wanna build anotherone with thinner bamboo this time. 8) 8)
- from the pics you posted you seem to be a good and creative craftsman!
you know they're all sort of crazy here: they wanna see what other's made, than they think wow i want to do that, too. than you'll see that and you'll think the same and so on...seems to be a good motor!
cheers, frank
ps: i for instance have this buckskin, that is to soft for a quiver...so i started wondering...

Your right about wanting to make another bow the problem right now is finding the time. Don and I are making these obsidian knives and I want to spend more time stump shooting and shooting aerials and I have a few quivers to build and, and, and.
I really do not know how I had time to work now that I am retired I am busy all the time.
