Made this camp chair from some rough cut, streaky Osage I had off my grampa's farm. I think this is gonna be a favorite for some time. Wish it would keep the color, but either way I'm pleased.

Yes! That is beautiful Scott! Some really pretty Osage you got there
-
Better keep your butt in it if you don't want it to come up missing :)
-
A hard chair for a hard ass!!! Perfect...love the grain in it
-
That's right Chris! Least I know if someone pops a squat in my camp chair now they ain't gonna beak it!
-
That looks great. Nice job on it.
-
Special chairs are special! Mr. Guy made/gave me a 2 piece wooden chair he made 3 years ago. I bring that sucker everywhere I go! Love it!
-
Let's see a pic.
-
That is a sweet looking chair. Nice work and that is some beautiful wood.
-
The pic isn't that great Scott. You can see Greg is trying to break it for me, good luck Greg!
-
Let's see it at full draw!
-
I sure hope you can retain the color. 8) It' great. Not to mention the grain. :)

Sweet chair!!

They make a UV clearcoat called frog juice(2 frogs per can ) for use in the sign industry. I'm guessing that might be your best best at making the color last.
Nice chair by the way. It's almost to pretty to put your a$$ on.
-
(way to go, Chris! Now everyone's talking about my butt) ??? >:D
"Frog juice" huh.. I'll have to look into that. Thanks DK.
JW, not sure about the full draw. With the full weight of my rear, I still can't get a floor tiller on it. Gonna need to work up to that...
-
Yo, that's some gorgeous wood. Nice workmanship :)

Really like the Osage. I've been using that type of Chair (2x10 Pine) for many years. My favorite Camp chair- LOVE them. Bob

Beautiful chair! I met a fellow at a knapping in Washington years ago that had a chair built like that. I don't remember his name, but he was good at making large obsidian spalls. I did not know that yellow wood could have such fantastic grain! Joe
-
It's a fairly common style, and very easy to make. The wood certainly sets it apart!
-
I like it.Beautiful grain. That one will last 75 years for sure.Don't know if I'd care to tote it a couple miles for a walk in rendezvous though.
