I'll trade knapped arrowheads for rivercane. I'm getting swamped for requests for cane. Thanks!
-
Do you knap a pretty decent head Patrick? :)
-
Yep. I do. Unless that's a trick question... then absolutely not.

OK, and just in case somebody is curious... the only thing I have to trade right now is arrowheads. I've gotten rid of all my stave wood (except the one I need to make for Eddie... that I'm two years late on) and most of my non-knapping related materials. I also live in the desert where, unless you want tumbleweed, there ain't nothin' here.... and certainly no river cane. Phragmites, yes, but most people don't know what that is. :P

Patrick, I'll be harvesting hill cane after the first of the year. Let me know if you are interested. I may have a few left over from years past somewhere too.
-
I'd love to get you in deeper but I'm all out also. ;-)
-
I have river cane
-
I could probably get you some too I just need to get permission from new owners. How many you need?
-
Thanks guys! At this point I need all I can get my hands on. So, just let me know what you need in return. I'll trade 1 arrowhead for every 6 raw shafts (or whatever we agree to - just let me know). It doesn't matter what size arrowheads you need. They all take about the same amount of time to make.
-
Patrick, I will see what I have and PM you.
-
Cool. :)
-
I got a few of various sizes.
Some was cut a year ago and some was cut Aug. of this year.
I'll PM you.
Just wanted to post pics here, can't get them in a PM.
-
Nice!
-
Let me see what I have got and what I can get.
Will you take "Fresh Cut"??
David
-
Yes, fresh cut is fine. ;D

10-4
It will be this weekend before I can check my stash and the patch.
Will let you know then.

Well.... I forgot to ask.
What size cane are you looking for?
How Long?
How big "on the big end" ?
Thanks
David
-
5/16" on the fat end and 36" long.... or whatever is in the 50# - 60# spine range for your type of cane.
-
Patrick makes a good point they have served me very well.
-
Patrick:
Is this offer still good??
Found a patch of Cane this weekend. Cut about 50.

I've got lots of cane and I've got a bunch of arrowheads in the works (that still need to be sent out). So, I'm not taking any more trades at the moment. Thanks guys!
