Post by: Stoker on November 13, 2015, 10:14:38 am
Got the go ahead from the grandson's parents to take him black powder shootin.. Gave me the reason to pick up a 32 cal CVA used but nicely taken care of... I built him a loading block for the monthly shoots next spring and summer... Made from birch oiled and a glass bead eye..
Thanks Leroy

my block i used to use wasn't near as fancy as that one, nice looking block. with my block i used to us old cartridge cases to hold my powder charge, if they got tossed not a big deal. have fun shooting the ol smoke pole with your grandson. Ed

Thanks for the comments fellas...
Ed - That's a really good idea with the cartridge cases for powder loads.. Help keep him organized..                                                                                                                         Like Harry Callihann said '' In all the excitement I don't remember if I shot 5 or 6 ''
Thanks Leroy

Pretty calculated
What young man would not be happy
with that squirrely block.  :)
Nice looking and functional to boot.

That Tree Rat block will go superbly with that .32 ! I used to have one those Crocket Rifles (.32) - a lot of fun to shoot ! Bob
