Title: Fort Dodge Horse Archery?
Post by: mrkbsm on February 14, 2008, 03:51:54 pm
Hey everyone, I'm new here but was wondering if anyone knows whether or not there is still an annual Horse Archery get-together in Fort Dodge, IA.  If so, does anyone know where there might be current information on it?
Thanks!

I believe they had gone to everyother year.  I can try to find out from Kay Koppedreyer.  I believe she has always been pretty involved or at least in "the know".

Thanks for the reply.  Fort Dodge really isn't too far away so I would hate to miss it if it happens.

Update:  I sent an e-mail to Meg Beshey of the IHAF and Lukas of Saluki Bows - it sounds like there is no current horse archery shoot planned for Fort Dodge this year due to many of the archers being busily involved with other events around the globe this summer.  But it sounds like they would like to pick up and continue having them in the future.
So... just an FYI for anyone else that might have been curious!
Thanks for the help Calendargirl - if I ever catch word of a date for that event in the future I'll make sure to post!
