Title: Ooh an abo subforum!
Post by: PrimitiveTim on November 04, 2015, 12:51:29 pm
Here's a piece of obsidian I got out of Davis Creek.  I had been struggling with pressure flaking for a while and now I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of it.  Now I just need to work on getting my points a little more thin... enough to impress myself.  This point got mounted and I just about sliced my hands up getting this thing mounted.

This was going to be my best point that I'd ever made until I broke it and it had this blue streak on the edge.  I was notching and the whole thing just broke off.  I wasn't used to notching points that thin.  Good thing I got lots of  rocks though.

nice work on the first obs point. that definitely looks mean to handle.

that blue edge rock would make an excellent piece of art. you can still salvage it.
