Title: No trail camera, BUT.
Post by: Pappy on October 05, 2015, 04:53:12 am
We found this while putting up a new stand below the Cabin a few hundred yards. The picture don't do this justice but I had to measure it to see if it matched the other side and had a average 15 inches inside spread what it would score. The side we found scores 74 inches so double that and add the spread and you got 163 inches. It was 5 points on the side we found and the main beam was 22 1/2 long / G3 over 10 inches/ the other points were 5 to 8 inches with a mass of 5inches on all measurements except the last which was over 4 Man I didn't know they grew that big around here. :o He lived log enough to shed this one so a good chance he is still around. :) Love to just see him this year much less get an arrow in him. :)

Nice horn Pappy!  With as many as you guys kill there he must be a smart old buck to live long enough to grow a rack like that.  Hope you get a shot at him this year.

Ya as most of yall know I am truly not a horn hunter ,but I sure would like to see him live and walking around at least. I suspect it would get the old ticker going pretty strong. :)

Me and my son have killed 4 or 5 in the 120 inch range /180's field dressed weight.
124 6/8th inches 187 lb 9 point is the biggest I killed several years back. We see some nicer ones every year but with our chosen weapons we just have to watch them pass by most of the time. ;) :)
