Title: Archery and Exercise
Post by: bow101 on October 02, 2015, 10:51:59 pm
Its surprising how much exercise I got today in the indoor range.  I shot a group of 6 arrows 25 times @ 20 meters.  Retrieve the arrows and walk back that is a total of 1000 meters.  About 3/4 of a mile and also pulling on the bow 150 times @ 40#       :P   good workout.

I went to a new doctor the other day, he was rude, arrogant and treated me like I had an IQ of 50. A day later I was still fuming about office visit with this jerk. I got out and shot my osage bow for an hour or so yesterday evening, when I put my bow up at dark I thought " what was I upset about, I can't quite remember".  Yep, archery cleanses the soul.

I think that the very act of being in nature, and using using something crafted with your own hands brings into perspective a lot of things. Nature is the best cleanser.
