Title: My first selfbow

Hello all, just wanted to show off my first Osage bow. It took me a ridiculously long time to build but I'm happy to say it shoots an arrow! I have to give a huge thank you to dvshunter who helped me along the way. She's 63" ntn 52#@27" with a hemp cord handle wrap and finished with bear grease. Thanks for looking and any advice or critiques are welcomed. Aaron

Nothing wrong with that bow, one of the best "first' bows that has been posted so far.

Wow Stellar looking bow! I plan on making a selfbow as soon as I finish my first (Hickory backed Red oak B.B.) But that is a fine looking bow for sure.

Really nice solid work on your first and it looks like one that will serve you well for a long time. You found a good instructor in Dave, great guy and a heck of a bow maker.

Those are some nice looking pics Aaron.  You did a grest job on that thing. I cant wait to hang a ll ic of you and the deer you're going to take with it this year up in the shop.  ;)
