Pretty slick gadget Mike, looks like it would be fun to shoot.
-
All will have lotsa opportunities to try it out!
-
Now all you have to do is mount a pin sight on it and you will be done. >:D

Doesn't appear that dude needs any sights. Cool rig Mike, but I aint scared of no sling shot!
-
The answer for short bow lovers. Can you legally hunt with one of those?
-
There's been talk about permitting slingbows in a few states. Am not aware of what came of those discussions. Think quite heavy bands would be needed to make humane kills on deer-size quarry, or very close range.
For small game, slingshots are deadly. Slingbows would be equally so, or more.

Knoll,
can you do me a favor and post some photos?
I can't do vids on my squirrely phone line.
Thanks, Zuma

Hey mike ...
I'd like to see you shoot the bear across the lake with that....but, I think I would have to be on the other side of the lake to see you hit the orange spot. it would be fun..... ;D ;D

My bows aren't manly enough ... that shot scared "heck" outta me!

Hi guys, thanks for the interest in my little shooter!
I come from a slingshot background but have wanted to effectively shoot arrows for a while. The rig I'm using in the videos is the first one I've made that I can shoot almost as well as I do a slingshot. I can't seem to figure out how to post a picture, maybe I need more posts first...
The tubes I'm using have a very fast retraction rate, which lets them "punch above their weight" in terms of speed per pound of draw weight. They pull about 35lb seem faster than you would expect from a bow with that draw weight.
I have a bunch of videos if you guys are interested. I'm enthusiastic to share because I'm sort of a shooter without a discipline at this point. Slingshot guys don't really care about slingbows and neither do archers that I've talked to (except for my man Knoll, of course :) )

Pretty cool idea MJ! I like all things projectile, so this is right up my alley.
Mike, thanks for posting.
Something else to add to the list of things that I want to make.
