I'm puttering away with some twisty billets. One has a dip right in the center of the limb. It will be in the fades area. It's about 1/2" deep now but once the edges of the limb are rounded off it will be at least 1/4-3/8" deep I guess. There is a small 1/4" knot in the center of it. It's the opposite of crown so all the tension is going to be on the edges. Is this going to be a big problem? I have a little leeway and could maybe get it closer into the handle. This would put it closer to the splice.

Your going to want to really round those edges off Don. If all the tension is just on both edges, whatever one is a little bit higher, it WILL fail there.
how wide is the bow?

Inch and a half
