Some of you may know Wayne P, he is the man behind the West Bottoms Bowyers Club in Kansas City, MO. He dedicates every Wednesday night to opening his doors to teach anyone who desires to learn about selfbows. You can also find him every year at both Mojam and Bois D' Arc in Springfield, MO. He is a great guy, loves to share his knowledge of bow building, and I am proud to call him my friend.
A number of months ago we decided to do a trade between the two of us, and this is my offering to him.
62" NtN Osage
41# @ 28"
1 3/8" wide limbs with the outer 15" tapering to 3/8" tips
Buffalo horn nock overlays
Brain tanned buckskin via Stringman (Thanks Scott, I still owe you) with black buckskin lacing over cork handle
Fast flight string
Finished with 2 coats of shellac, then 6 coats of tung oil and the stripes were painted with white enamel

Full draw picture with Wayne looks kinda funny cause I didn't get a good side view, but it's all I got

-
wheres the DROOL smiley face thing.
I love it
-
very nice, like it
-
That's a sweet bow! Besides the wiggly limbs, the color of the lacing and stripes really sets this one off. I still need to make it to KC one of these weeks...

I want to be your friend to A-a-ron :)
Very nice finish work again. You've made a few knock outs lately.

Thank you fellas
Pearls, we can be friends, I guess. ;) ;D

Well done Aaron! That is a smooth piece of wood. And it couldn't be for a more deserving guy. Wes is a standard up guy. And you are too my friend! The only question I have is, why haven't I traded with you yet!? Patrick

Aaron, your workmanship is top notch! I love the flow and simplicity of this bow. I'm a big fan of Wayne also and I think he will be mighty proud of this gift! Can't wait to make it back down to Mojam next year and hang out again.

Nice build Falcon. Very pleasing to the eye, Looks like you scored Buddy Wayne. Chuck

That is one sweet, curvy bow. Nice work!

Looks like you are trading away something from the top shelf for sure.

I really like this one, probably my favorite style of bow and expertly crafted Aaron. Has some cool character to it.

Yeah, Wayne is a super fella! 2014 MoJam he turned over a primo piece of osage to newbie me so I could learn to chase a ring. He musta been a bundle of nerves as I stumbled through that stave. ;D
Great lookin' bow you've created for him. And, based on Wayne's grin, he's liking it too!
Congrats!
