Title: bad day to be on I-24 in Western KY
Post by: Josh B on August 24, 2015, 12:47:51 pm
Three truck pile up blocking east bound I-24 at mile marker 42.  Caused by a intermodal container hauler that missed his turn this morning and decided to make a u-turn on the interstate in the early morning fog.  The next driver to come along probably never new what killed him.
Now West bound I-24 at the 18 mile marker is shutdown because a flatbed semi is jackknifed across both lanes and his truck is on fire.  I don't know how that happened.  Whatever the case, it's no mystery to me why some folks despise truckers.  The burning flatbed may well be an honest accident, but the u-turn was pure stupidity that cost a fellow driver his life!  Rant over.  Sorry.  Josh

Thanks fellas.  I do try my best to be safe out here.  It really bothers me when I see others who don't seem to care.  Josh

My uncle is a long hauler as well... For my friends that drive - an extra prayer for your safety. Kudos to all drivers who do care about what you are doing. I have nearly been taken out my dozing, texting, talking, careless drivers on many different roadways.
