Brian and Beth live across the road.
They let me build them a deck in a tree over the river.
Here is what was doing down there yesterday.
Photos compliments of Beth edited by me.
Talk about a bird's eye view.

Great pics, Zuma. Being that close to nature on a regular basis is a thrill. 8)

Yes it is Pat.
We count our blessings.
Brian had to shoo the bear off because Beth
was starting to freak out a little as it came
up and started for the deck.

Thanks for looking fellows.
Bears swimming the river here is nothing new.
About 15 years ago I was working on a riverside cabin.
A grown bear would swim the river from the camp
ground and walk up to the road on the adjacent property.
I got the idea to count-coup one morning, so I hid behind
a tree near the road where the bear usually crossed. >:D
When he was near the center of the gravel road I sprung
out with my hand high but gave out an unwanted "Rebel
Yell" He launched like a rocket and I missed him by 3-4 feet. :embarassed: :embarassed:

Went out to take a knap on the deck an hour ago
and saw this bear about a quarter mile away.
The photos are poor and shopped but this one
looks much bigger than the river bear.

You captured some cool animal behavior in those pics, always enjoyable to watch their actions and movements when they are totally unaware that they are being viewed. That creek looks like a fine swimming spot, clear and clean looking. Good pics Zuma.
