Title: knots
Post by: jayman448 on August 05, 2015, 09:24:07 pm
Ok. So u have a knot. In the knot when u debark it you find the beginnings of a branch. What the heck would you do? And also will a branch (little twiggy knotty thingy) ever grow without being a separate piece (like can i stick be like three inches long and be following the same growth rings as the rest of the stave? The first question applies to a stave i have. The second is just my wonderings.

Leave that area wide, tiller that area stiffer than the rest of the limb and then, you can sand down that nub of a limb.
At least, that is what I have done in the past.
