Title: Hot day Flint River

A little shade tree knap today.
A tricky piece of Flint River but colorful.

That is a nice point, and I love the colors in Flint River. A friend of mine uses some of it, and I have worked a few of his flakes, and I have slabbed some of it for him.

I really like the material myself.
The colors and the neat patterns come at a cost.
The concrete, crystal pockets and bands can make
getting the flakes you want seem impossible.
When things are right the flakes peel off sweetly.
It's a lot like the Thunderbird jasper I knap.
But beware of the lop when you get the bugs out. >:D
