Yeah, Basswood.  The young leaves are great salad greens in the spring as well. Is Linden another name for them? I see ones with larger leaves and ones with smaller leaves that are usually planted in cities.  What's the proper names for both of them?

Tillia Americana(basswood) and Tilia heterophylla(white basswood), the later having a whiter underside and smaller leaves. There are also European varieties.

The planted varieties with smaller leaves tend to be the European variety known as Linden.
