The Story: Made this from a tree I cut down with Grandpa a few years back. I hope to use this to hunt his farm this year. It would be a great feeling to get my first selfbow whitetail with a bow made from a tree on the farm. Wish me luck!
The Stats: 50# @ 28, 64.5 NtN, horn overlays, cloth imitation snakeskin backing, sheep wool arrow rest, FF string

Nice bow. It's always special to make a bow from wood that has a personal meaning. Good luck with the hunting.

That is a sweet piece of hunting hickory right there. Good mojo in any wood you can harvest with your grandfather. Nicely done!

best of luck to ya on the farm this year. get a big one!

Gorgeous bow. I'm rooting for you to complete the "Circle of Life" on the farm this fall!
BTW, I see you are in the general PGH area... I'm south of you about an hour. Is there any good stores around that have more than three bows on a shelf that they call "The Traditional Section?"
-
Sweet bow! It will get the job done. ;)
-
Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm confident the bow will do it's job this fall. Now if the deer and me can only cooperate... :P :o ;) ;D
