Hey everyone. I've been lurking here for a while, and have learned more than enough about bow making from the wealth of knowledge here, but have decided to actually become a part of the community, for what little I can offer. I won't go into my whole bow making story today, because it's very boring. I've been getting my bowmaking information from this website and those that link from it for... a decade? I don't know if it's been around that long, but have only just recently finished my first actual bow. Now I don't think I can keep myself from making more.
In short, thank you for the wealth of information, and I hope I can help you bring it to others while I continue to learn.

That should be a link to the pictures. If it doesn't work, It's a really long red oak board bow with blood wood tips. I learned a lot making it, and will hopefully be building a more traditional bow next. I'm not sure the best way to share pictures on forums anymore. Is photobucket still the best way to go?

I use Photobucket. It's frustrating sometimes but it works.

You're right, Pat, Photobucket is the way to go. Anyhow, here's a few pics of bow #1. It's a red oak board bow, and my second attempt. The tips are blood wood, and before anyone asks, yes, that handle is very uncomfortable. Just one of the many lessons I learned building this bow.

Welcome
The PA website has been here for about 2 decades

That's a very nice second attempt. I think you've got the hang of it. 8)
