Robby i use a blend of raw beeswax and mineral oil, food safe sealer and my wax still has some honey in it make the water sweet

very cool. what are the stoppers made of?
-
The stoppers are cork with horn pulls
-
Very nice , I covered mine with wet rawhide. The rawhide makes a hard coating after it dries.

Cool! 8) Just be sure to get all the dust of it, as it is toxic. I have a Friend in Georgia, who does art work with Gourds, and he was telling me to be sure to wear a respirator, or dust mask. I was wondering how they made water jugs, bowls, shot, and powder containers, and plates out of them, if they were toxic, but he said you just have to clean the inside really well, and like you did seal it with wax, or something like that. Those are cool. I want to grow some gourds, now that I am FINALLY in Montana for good.
