Title: Bunyan Knife

I got big mitts so I guess that's why I make these.
The blade was dove tailed so I wound up with the
indentations in the hafting, May wrap more wire in there?

May I ask what material you used for the handle? It looks like a stitched dagger handle  but also like possibly a stabilized corncob??? cool looking whatever it might be...

Lobo --it's Eastern Red Cedar heart wood from a
barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico.
The photos don't show the stitchin to good but
that is the look I was shooting for.
I'll have to try soap stone for a handle next.

Very nice Z man! I really like the handle. Got to see some ERC at the 1875 - rvp workshop in Jefferson IA - pretty wood!
