I have a neurological disorder that has put me down and depressed for many years.
Since I joined PA, I truly feel up and excited . Like a craftsman again.
My work for 35 years was a heavy mechanic. Destroyed nerves and bones in my
neck along with Trigeminal Neuralgia . I love making bows and arrows.

Sorry about the disorder. Good news that the bow making helps though. I do it largely for the peace that it brings me. It is fun year round also. I am not sure what is the best part, finding trees and cutting them, splitting and drying. Making different types, sizes and designs. It can be a long term rewarding hobby. Welcome.

My mind wanders to times past. I can sweat myself silly and don't care.
I feel the best coming out with a bow in hand.

Thanks for being here, SD. I am a tentative bow builder and have some kind of disorder about it that makes me not get off my butt and do it. At least here I get to watch others go at it and I even make some shavings on occasion. All the best. Make sure you visit Pappy's Life is Good thread regular. That is my medicine daily.

Working with wood never looses its charm. I am also a retired heavy duty mechanic with quite a bit of neck and back injuries. I really enjoy the physical work aspect. I went at it pretty hard the last few days after semi laying off for nearly a year. Every muscle and bone in my body is aching and I feel great!
