Ok so im nervous as all hell about going to basic. Any of you veterans got some advice? Im just trying to make sure I don't screw up majorly...
-
Shut up and do what your told and you'll be fine. Im not a vet, just informed you could say.

Like Pearly said, and don't try to stand out.

What they said. Basic is a time for learning to be part of a team. You have to do two things... follow orders and do your best. Do that in basic and afterwards and you will do well. USNR

Go with the flow and keep your mouth shut, don't volunteer for anything, especially the bowling team (which will turn out to be the toilet bowl team). Don't be in the first or the last of the pack, stay comfortably in the middle, be a nobody.
