Title: Bed frame joinery advice needed.
Post by: Jodocus on April 23, 2015, 04:08:49 pm
Maybe some of you can help me, auntie google wouldn't know much that's of help.

I set out to make a bed, a large double bed, 2m by 2m. I will consist of four massive posts and four boards on the sides. No panels, no nothing.

I need to join the boards to the posts somehow. I'd prefer no visible whatever on the outside. I'd highly prefer the construction to be disassebmblable (sorry for that word, you know what I mean). And if you have a solution that involves no metal parts at all, I'd be really interested, even if it has to be wedged from the outside.

You could mortis into the post so the rails would slide in and add a pin from the inside to secure the rails so it would not be seen.
