I wanted a bow ready just in case I am fortunate enough to get drawn for a Moose tag this fall.
66" ttt
70#@26"
1.5" wide at the fades 1/2" tips
Purpleheart and Maple handle with matching tip overlays and a Purpleheart power-lam.

It is still very unfinished, but it really throws an arrow!
Make sure you change the resolution to 1080p

Nice looking bow,well done. :)

She looks good. To me the outer limbs could open a little more.
Is it American hornbeam or hop hornbeam?

I will update this post after I get the bow finished, which will hopefully be tonight after work.

Definitely looks like a smooth shooter

Here are the finished photos. She really is a smooth shooter! Final draw weight is 68.5# @ 26", not too far from my goal of 70#.

Wow, that sure is beautiful, nice work! :)
-
Nice work. Looks like you are ready for Mr. Moose.
-
Great looking bow, that should get the job done. Where did you get that nice piece of bamboo from ?
-
Beautiful- good work! :)
-
The dog looks singularly unimpressed. I am trying to look unimpressed.
It's not working in my case.
-
Thanks for all the compliments guys!
Ghost - That piece of boo was from a bundle of 25 that I got from Home Depot online. I was a bit skeptical at first about buying them, but they turned out to be almost identical to the ones that I got from Bingham's at a fraction of the price.
If it's not against the rules here is the link to the Depo Boo.

Wow, $100 it's a fraction of the cost!?
-
100 bucks for 25 slats, that's 4 bucks a pop, that's a great price for 1.75" bamboo slats. I have been ordering them elsewhere and the shipping is murder, costs me about 6 bucks a slat plus shipping, 3 slats cost me around 40 bucks and I thought I was getting a deal. Was the quality OK?
