I thought that I would try and broaden my skills with some abo style knapping , this point was made with just a hammer stone and a antler tine, I got my spall thined out with plenty of problems, it's not copper thin but not real bad. I knew that notching would be tuff on the not ideal base thinness and it was. One notch went fairly well and of course the other stalled and I could not get it going again with just a deer antler. If I found this point in a field I would be overwhelmed , but being a modern knapper this point leaves alot of room for improvement. Thanks for looking Bob

More perseverance than I would of had. I would of cheated and used copper for the notches. :)

That's a style I've yet to master and probably won't. Turned out good Bob, looks sharp!

not bad old man ::) I use hammer stones and big antlers to spall,after that copper . I haven't done an all abo in awhile. so you sittin' in the albo corner at the classic?
