Title: bamboo bow asian style
Post by: Joel Hamberg on April 05, 2015, 04:33:28 am
Hi!
Question, how short to support a 30'draw can all wood/bamboo bow be made? Sinewing is accepted but no other composites than wood/bamboo (not looking for true horn bows).
Best regards Joel

About 50 inches if you do it right.

James Parker had one on here but the pics have been deleted.
Here's one I made that's a bit longer but drawn well in excess of 30 inches so it could be considerably shorter if only drawn 30.

Beautiful! What's the materials used? Do you have a pic unstrung profile?
By the way, have you seen my post of the Vintage Tal-Ga-Yee-Ta Chief Logan Replica? Any clues of the Bowyer? I am asking you since my impression  is that you know many Bowyers.
