Title: Sinewed Osage bow I got in the works

So this bow and I have had a journey. I put it in the rafters 3 times. I tried going on belly lams to thicken the tips 3 times. Finally I said screw it and sinewed it. It doesn't want belly lams. Hopefully she decides she wants to fling sticks at furry critters.

Holy Reflex!! Thats gonna be a booger to brace! But once it is braced its gonna be a screamer:)

It looks worse that it is. It has 4 layers on it. It really look that bad?

just dont let the bow trick you, it will feel really heavy at first brace,, but that is an illusion,,when the sinew stretches it will calm down,,and easy to miss the weight on a bow with reflex,,, :)

I plan on bending her a bit on the long string to get it stretched before I start any removal. thanks guys

That sinew does look a little rough. But the overall look of the bow is nice. That's a lot of reflex but your sinew may not hold all of that after its tillered and shot in. Unless you heated in some of the reflex to start with. 
Heck my first sinew job wasn't a Mona Lisa either. Patrick

Pat,  your sinew process is pretty much what I plan to use exclusively from now on. I've read it several times myself. Patrick

PatM's sinew method works great. Almost makes it too easy.

Well I blew up that tri lam. The boo had some kinda mold on it. And I'm still plugging away at the takedown and the Osage bow. Just found time to sinew this thing finally.

Bruce, don't let it faze you, Pat M. does a great job on sinew, but you can lay it down roughly and get great results from it. Work on it and the more you put into it the more you get.

I ended up going back and re hydrating it and compressing it then heating it up. I am gonna give it a couple weeks and put one more layer on. I will try my best to follow the pat m method. It is easier than I thought. It compresses the sinew much better.
