Title: Correction to woodland bow pictures
Post by: half eye on March 17, 2015, 08:23:17 pm
Hey fellas,
Recently someone sent me a copy of Hamms Encylopedia of bows, arrow, quivers Vol1......on page 105 (if the drawing is accurate) is a bow from SanDiego Museum of Man and attributed as Osage....well that bow could be the twin brother of a bow in my post of pictures ....it is on page 2 seventh picture down and depicts a red bow, broken in half. That bow was recovered in Michigan and attributed as "possibly" Wyandot (Huron)  well it looks exactly like the Osage bow.....so please take note of that if you keep track of the pictures.

Here is a copy of the museum bow picture

Thanks,
rich
