Title: A little FF Flemish test
Post by: PEARL DRUMS on March 02, 2015, 02:29:31 pm
A little tid bit:

Last night I made up two flemish strings for a new self bow. One was a 12 strand D97 and the other a 12 strand D10. Both have 8" servings and no silencers. The D10 is noticeably more quiet. Ill still use either at the drop of a hat, but.

I've used D97, but what's D10?

Same company. I haven't researched the variances.

BCY doesn't even make it anymore. But 3-Ripoffs had this snip-it on their website.

"100% SK78 Dyneema. DynaFlight 10 (commonly called D10) is 20% stronger than BCY DynaFLIGHT 97 (D97) string material with the lowest amount of creep."

Chad from BYC was at Kalamazoo a couple of weeks ago and was selling D 55 for $5.00 a spool. Bought 3 different colors but haven't made a string up yet.

He said the spools colors didn't come out right.  Don't matter to me at $5.00 a spool.  Picked up a grey, yellow and a green.
