Title: Hand drill with your mouth ?
Post by: Minuteman on January 23, 2008, 08:00:49 pm
Had an idea the other day. I'm sure i'm not the first to come up with this but I was wondering if anyone had tried holding a block in their mouth for the top of the drill to spin in while hand drilling up a coal? Seems like you could get a coal with a little less effort.
I'm sure someone has done it.
I bet you'd make sure the dern thing wasn't about to burn through each time you got ready to use it!
 Anyone done it?

There is a tribe in South America that still uses a wood piece held in the mouth to hold and apply pressure to the drill. Justin

Yes you can do this but be careful because you can put your eye out if you slip!
