Title: Recurve string alignment
Post by: DC on February 22, 2015, 02:45:29 pm
When do I do the string alignment heat adjustments? I'm at 22" draw length, looking for 27. The string is about 1/4" out on one recurve. Should I do an adjustment now or wait until I'm closer to finished.

1/4" ain't bad! I'd do it sooner than later. Can you narrow your tips to try and get your 1/4" without heat?

I'd do it now.

I could narrow the tips a bit but there is a little bit of twist in the recurve and I thought I would take that out at the same time. I'm planning on narrowing the tips a bit but I thought I would get it straight and aligned first. Anyway I got two answers and both say do it now so out to the shop I go.
Thanks
